Christina said, “This was a singer’s battle. You guys did your business today. Amanda- There’s a reason why I wanted to get you on my team. You have great voice control.”

Cee Lo, whose former artist, Amanda Brown stood in front of him, said to her that she has “infinite possibilities.” And to Michelle, “You sang in Jennifer Hudson’s spotlight and you were able to embellish upon on that bar that she set. I feel like Michelle won today.”

Their coach Adam spoke, “Michelle you did things for yourself in this battle round that I wasn’t able to do yet. Amanda – I have not really had time to coach you . It comes down to who I can I be a better coach to. Who can I push further. The winner of this knockout is Amanda.”

Joselyn took to the stage first and sang “Love On Top”. Next, Kayla used the song “Shark in the Water” to try to knockout Joselyn. After the performance, Blake commented, “Kayla may have played it a little safer. Joselyn did so many runs and things with her vocal performance. I think Joselyn won because of the chances she took.”

Christina said “Love On Top is a challenging glass of difficulty to swallow. It’s unbelievable the range in that song. And you were hitting it!” Adam chimed-in and said that even Beyonce has a hard time singing that song.

Cee Lo said, “Christina took the words out of my mouth. I’ve got to give it to you Joselyn because you did it with such grace and such talent.”

Adam had decide the winner of the knockout round. “I can’t think of a more ambitious song to choose. You didn’t have to choose this song. That says a lot to me. And your SEVENTEEN! It’s a testament to your ability. So, well done.” To Kayla, Adam said “I do know you a little bit better. There’s a certain way that you carry yourself up there. A certain soulfulness that I love about you. You killed it.” It was time for Adam to make his decision – “You guys are two of the best singers in the country. I believe that. I have to go with Joselyn.”

Christina said, “Melanie open your mouth and sing, it’s haunting and it invites you into this special world only you are capable of creating. My personal preference is Melanie.”

Adam said to his students, “Melanie you were really nervous, you got breathy. Sam, get out of that comfort zone and space that is so comfortable to you. The winner of this knockout round is Melanie.”

Christina said This is a tough one Adam. I was feeling both of you on different levels. Bryan when you hit ‘I would die for you’- you really nailed it beautifully. Joe – You have this natural charisma that you have on stage. It reminds me of Billy Joe. My eye wants to be drawn to you.”

Cee Lo said, “Bryan, you have that working class hero type of quality that resonates with me. I’d go with Bryan.”

Adam said, “Joe this way surpasses my expectations of you in rehearsals.”

I would pick Loren.”

Christina reacted,”I expected a murder scene and it just didn’t happen. [To Loren] Where have you been all my life in this competition? Where’s my steal button? I’m mad now!

Cee Lo said to Nicole,”Your voice is like a blankey – like a Mother’s love. It’s alive and vibrant.”

Adam reminisced about the Blind Auditions Round to Nicole, “All our chairs turned around for you.” Then he said to Loren, “I mean what – the element of surprisd was so astonishing that here I am not knowing what to do. The thought of letting one of you go kills me. I’m going to go with Loren.” Adam chose Loren to continue in “The Voice” competition.

Terisa sang Whitney Houston song “Saving All My Love.” Trevin’s song choice was “Against All Odds”. He said he was dedicating the song to his former teacher whom said he would never become anything. Blake said “I’m so glad that this isn’t me. An eighteen-year-old person (Trevin Hunte) who’s at the talent level that you’re at. I’d go with Trevin”

Christina said about Trevin, “You have something so special and so God given. I believe in your talent so much”

Cee Lo reacted to Trevin’s performance, “I am so proud of you and I am so lucky to have you. My decision is Trevin.” After the announcement, Tersia said, “This is not bitter sweet for me. It is absolutely sweet because I had the opportunity to lose and mentor to my baby Trevin and I said if I was to lose to anyone it would be Trevin.” Backstage, Terisa told Trevin “if somebody else beats you, I’m gonna beat you.”

After the knockout round which pitted Daniel Rosa against Mackenzie Bourg, Adam’s reaction was, “I love seeing you with this new confidence. When you sing it’s very magical and very engaging and I would definitely choose you Daniel.”

Blake said, “It took style, it took vision it took an artist to stand up there and do what you did with that song. I would choose Mackenzie.”

Christina commented, “I love knockouts because you have that opportunity to pick your own song and execute it the way you stylistically want to. But I have to say, McKenzie – you OWNED it!”

Cee Lo said of his two team members, “You guys have represented me well and I am proud of the both of you. Mackenzie, you sang with a lot of soul. Daniel you are a wonderful singer…you are better than your performance today. I have to make a decision and it’s a matter of mixed emotions for me. This is crazy. I am going to go for MacKenzie.”

Before Daniel exited the stage, his last words were, “I want to thank you for seeing stuff in me that I didn’t see. Don’t feel sorry for me because I got the greatest opportunity.”

“It took a true artist…”

The mentors reacted to the hyped-up on-stage antics of Avery who was jumping up and down and doing a few choreography moves with his singing. This did not impress the mentors. Adam Levine reacted, “Avery it wasn’t one of your best. It was a little all over the place. And Cody, you’re kind of shining through as a unique artist and I think you won this”

Blake said, “Avery my dance moves are a little different than yours. But I think by doing that you open the door for Cody. Cody was at the exact right moment and that’s the best I’ve heard you sing so far.”

Christina said, “Avery maybe it was a little too much because of course it’s called the voice at the end of the day. But, I still really appreciated the effort”.

Cee Lo said, “Avery you can sing your ass off and you can dance too. But the definitive factor about your performance is your voice. Cody it takes a brave man to sing Jolene. I’m going to go with Cody.

Adam reacted, “I felt like that was the perfect song for your voice. You killed it, especially that last note.” Christina said, “It’s difficult song to do and you did it well. I just think you run the risk of being too similar (to Efferessence).

Cee Lo commented, You were spot-on. Neither one of you had the best performances that you can do. Caitlin, you are a beautiful young girl. But, I think there’s something special about Diego.” Cee Lo chose Diego. He said “we are the team to beat”.
